Hello there!
Welcome to Confessions of a College Recruiter!
I have served as a college recruiter for nearly two years, and it has been such an unexpected and rewarding journey. Before stepping into higher education, I spent over five years working in sales, which gave me valuable experience in communicating and building relationships with a wide variety of people. That background ultimately helped lead me into recruitment, where connecting with students and families is at the heart of the work. When I completed my bachelor’s degree in agriculture, I never would have imagined that my career would bring me into the world of higher education. However, life has a funny way of surprising you and guiding you toward paths you never planned.
Through this role, I have discovered a true passion for connecting with students and supporting them as they work toward their future goals. I have come to love being in schools and classrooms, meeting students where they are, and helping them find the resources and encouragement they need to take the next step.
This experience has opened my eyes to both the excitement and the challenges that come with pursuing higher education. Students face real barriers along the way, and it has shown me just how important access, guidance, and support truly are.
This blog is not only about my story, but about the stories of students everywhere who are striving to create a better future through education. I’m so glad you’re here, and I look forward to sharing this journey with you.
